Adam Matalon


Adam is a director, writer and producer. He is thrilled to be at the helm of this incredibly moving and evocative film. He is currently enjoying success on the festival circuit with a short film he co-wrote, directed and produced A Boy a Man and a Kite that just won “Best Short Film” at HRIFF and will have its London premiere at LIFF this April.

He recently received a 2018 Emmy nominated “best digital drama” for producing Tainted Dreams (Amazon). He is in early post-production for another feature documentary In The Shadow of the Flag a feature documentary that charts the emotional journey of 16 military veterans finding home and tribe in a unique collaborating with Diavolo Dance Theatre. Concurrently he’s in pre-production for a new celebrity driven improv comedy series he co-created You’ve Been Had!

His director credits include the award winning feature documentary Seasons In The Valley narrated by Elliot Gould which was a winner of several festival awards during its run and the horror feature Death On Demand.  As well as directing numerous titles for Sony & Sesame Street and the award winning Jane Tuesday shorts, which he created, wrote and produced for the multi Emmy winning series he has directed or produced several short films including Falling to Pieces, American Girl and Sex & Camping. He was the original launch director for History Channel’s smash hit American Pickers - now in it’s 20th season! Adam was a proud directors unit member of multiple Emmy winning seasons of Sesame Street. Bear In The Big Blue House, The Book Of Pooh and Between The Lions.

He spent his formative years in the theatre before moving into media production and is currently rehearsing a stage play he is directing which opens the night we begin this film journey on March 22nd.
